I have at last completed what began as a new zietgiest book. In the end it became a small book of writings taken from my journal, sorted into categories. I wanted to find a way to create publishable material with things that I've been writing in my journals, as that's where I express most of my thoughts. Through the process, I discovered clear themes of topics: poetry, writings about dreams, writings about walks, after reading a murakami novel, and relating to food. For the food topic though, I simplified it to recipes I use most often. The format had to be condensed but still clear, so I kept it to a basic Roboto font I often like to use for my blogs, and the chunks of text side by side in columns. Because each page is a quarter size of letter dimensions piece of paper, it only uses 3 sheets total. My dad remarked he'd have a hard time reading it, but I also didn't really intend to have him read it, so honestly it doesn't bother me. I'm accustomed to looking ...
